What is a prosthesis?
A prosthesis is an artificial replacement for a
portion of
the body that is missing or
disfigured. Prostheses are
custom-made from various materials such as silicone, a
flexible, durable plastic used to simulate soft tissues.
Prostheses are attached securely with medical adhesives or tapes,

What do custom prosthetics offer to patients?
An aesthetic, life-like prosthesis allows the
patient to "blend in" and avoid drawing unnecessary
attention, thus greatly improving the quality of life and serving
as an important step in rehabilitation. Custom prostheses are
durable, comfortable, and may be worn daily, requiring only
simple care.
